Long weekend almost over and I haven't even posted anything on here..so just saying I had a weekend of ferrying kids around and checking out display homes for colour schemes and taking Len's parents to see the block and the display home we are building...

8.5km Walk!!

I can't believe I actually completed the bridges walk today with my daughter....total of 8.5kms....I have always wanted to do it, but thought I would have to wait till nearer to christmas to be fit enough...but woo hoo we did it....

7th Weigh In

Well I managed to lose 600gms so I guess I can't complain too much considering...and also lost 5.5cms...so that makes it a grand total of 9.3kgs and 58cms..woo hoo.........
Went out to Freo all day with my sis and daughter and my mum for her birthday today and resisted all bad things........the weird thing is that we went to Sizzler's for lunch and I wasn't even tempted...3 months ago I would of eaten till I couldn't move............

Well its that dreaded day before weigh in...I often wonder if other people feel the same before weighing in..........As I really want to lose the 1.3kg so I can get my new charm, It is weighing heavily on my mind...but I am feeling really blah...real bloated etc., after effects of TTOM....I have been really good as usual with my tracking, but the weather hasn't been kind for walking etc.,

Hey all
Well its Monday..........been doing heaps of steps...but its TOM again...a week early...so I guess it will stuff up my weight loss this week...and I need to lose 1.3kg this week so I can get my 2nd charm.....lol
Len (Hubby) said I am gonna keep him broke...We signed up to build another house on Saturday...so its pretty exciting here at the moment...

Well I did it!!

I only lost 200gms last week and was sooooooo disappointed and concerned as I did everything right...I feel very anxious as I have been walking every day again and watching every little thing I put into my mouth....Maybe I am getting compulsive?

My Goals and Challenges

Here are my Goals and Challenges that I thought I would put online so I can keep focused...
Challenge 1: Track EVERYTHING I eat and drink EVERY day.
Challenge 2: Attend WW EVERY week and stay for meeting
Challenge 3: Try at least 1 new low fat recipe per week.
Goal 1:: Reach 110.8kg....WW 5% loss "DONE"
Goal 2:: Reach 106.6kg....10kg by 2nd Oct 05
Goal 3: Reach 104.9kg....WW 10% loss
Goal 4: Reach 101.6kg....15kg by end of Nov'05
Goal 5: Reach 99.9kg..double digit girl!!! :) By Dec 1st '05
Goal 6: Buy clothing from a regular size store or section in store
Goal 7: Reach 96.6kg ....20kg by Xmas'05
Goal 8: Reach 93.3kg....WW 20% loss by end of Jan'06
Goal 9: Be able to buy a sexy matching underwear set in sz 16 or below
Goal 10: Reach 85kg...takes me out of 'OBESE' BMI category by 15th March'05
Long Term Goal: Reach target weight of 72kg by Easter 2006

Does anyone know why when you do over your steps you are meant to do for the day...that you don't get any more bonus points for it??
I did 21,208 steps yesterday, but my program only allows 3 points for just over 8,000 steps...odd I thought...Did an amazing walk in the rain and gale force winds yesterday, was a real challenge for me as I haven't been able to do that for years:)

Hey everyone, this is a must recipe and its so delicious.....
Beef in Black Bean Sauce
2.5 Points per serving
9 Total points per recipe
Serves 4

1 tsp oil
1 garlic clove, crushed
175g lean rump steak, sliced thinly
225g pack of fresh or frozen stir-fry vegetables
150g jar black bean sauce
1. Heat the oil in wok and fry garlic for 1 min.
2. Add half the beef and cook for a few seconds, then add the rest.
3. Add the veges and stir-fry until just cooked.
4. Pour in the black bean sauce and heat through


I made this tonight for dinner and served with jacket potatoes and shredded cabbage...everyone raved about how nice it was....

5th Weigh In


Well I am so disapointed...I weighed in and only lost 200gms...I have no idea why....I have been exercising every day between 10 and 15,000 steps and never have all my points cos I am always too full....I got my butterfly charm today to mark the 5kg mark I got to last week...I did lose another 10 cms this week though which makes a total of 47.5cms....
Have to keep plodding along...I really don't understand why I didn't lose more...anyone got any ideas??

One more day before weigh in...I hate having to wait...impatient bugga I am....Had a lovely coffee with Tina and my daughter Kristy-Lynne yesterday morning...its always nice to compare notes and get some more information on WW....I found my recipe book from 2002 WW and planned 5 great meals for this week, the first one I made last night for dinner was Chicken Korma...I thoroughly enjoyed it as did my hubby and daughter, but son hated all the red and green capsicum in it.....lol....not going to have it with rice again and its such a piddly amount for the 63gms of small serve recommended...next time shall have jacket potatoes with it....ever weighed 63g of rice to see how much you get for 2.5 points??
Just had to add a postscript onto this blog.....I found this ladies cool website and got a very interesting idea off it....Hubby bought me this gorgeous bracelet today to add charms to whenever I lose 5kgs....so what do u reckon guys out there?.... You going to do it for your special person too.....

Finally back on again

Happy father's day Guys!!
Went out to visit hubby's parents for fathers day.....everyone sat around having yummy boiled fruit cake...but I was strong and didn't have any...I am so glad i resisted cos 50g is 2.5 points...not worth the points I figured....I did have to take sugar as there was no artifical sweetner...I must remember next time to take my own with me as 1 tsp sugar is .5 point....

Just had to write this in folks....
I have stopped my diabetes medication as my sugar levels are fantastic, all thanks to my new lifestyle and also have halved my anti depressants, which I am so rapt about and had to also buy new clothes...what a chore...not!!
Was a great feeling not to have to go to the big plus sizes.....makes one feel great about the journey to a new me...so watch out world here I come!!

Pedometer

Finally worked out how to calibrate my pedometer, its amazing the difference it makes when you have your correct step measured and put your updated weight into it...so yeah I am rather pleased...bought one also for my youngest daughter so she doesn't feel left out of it when she walks with us....
Does anyone know of a teenager website or forums for kids doing weight watchers?
It would be such a help if I could find one as Brianna needs to chat to others of similiar age for support also....
